Remember discovering strange temples and facing the legendary creatures waiting inside? Legendary Beasts: Origin brings that classic adventure back to Minecraft 1.20.1.
This project ports Davidee’s Legendary Beasts alpha a1.6.2.0, preserving its original identity while adapting its systems and fixing technical issues.
Five Legendary Beasts
- Efreeti — the Fire Demon.
- Ender Lord — the Dragon Tamer.
- Xolotl — the Lightning Spirit.
- Ritsuko — the Elf Hunter.
- Viro the Great — the Snow Beast.
Explore the Overworld to discover their temples. Approaching an unused temple awakens its beast, with each encounter offering its own attacks, resistances and rewards.
Defeated beasts drop Sacred Eyes, which guide you toward other unused temples. Collect the original magical staffs, enchanted equipment and other rewards as you continue your adventure.
Faithful to the Original
The original models, pixel textures, temple layouts and boss mechanics remain at the heart of the mod. This port focuses on bringing that experience to a modern version, with fixes for rendering, texture loading, synchronization and saved data.
A dedicated creative tab provides access to the mod’s items, block and boss spawn eggs.
Requirements
- Minecraft 1.20.1
- Forge 47.4.10 or newer for Minecraft 1.20.1
- Java 17
- Install on both the client and server.
- No additional mod dependencies.
Temples generate in newly explored Overworld chunks.
