La Presencia

La Presencia is a horror-survival mod for Minecraft 1.20.1 Forge. It adds terrifying creatures that can appear during the day, watch you from the darkness, stalk you, and alter your world.

Features

• El Bugueado: appears during the day, watches the player, and moves closer when it is not being watched.
• El Herrumbre de la Puerta: knocks on house doors, destroys them, and reaches through with its hands to drag the player away.
• El Vigilante de Cobre: uses a player-like appearance and watches from dark places, causing darkness effects.
• Monster Dimension: captured players are sent to a dimension inhabited exclusively by the creatures.
• Escape Portal: crafted with two Eyes of Ender and one Ender Pearl.
• Containment Pistol: the player can receive a weapon with five charges that temporarily calms El Bugueado. It does not work against El Herrumbre de la Puerta or El Vigilante de Cobre.
• Spawn Eggs: available in Creative mode to test each creature separately.
• Warning Tablet: a fictional message about a 100-day deadline appears when entering the world. After day 100, reality begins to distort.
• Environmental Horror: strange sounds, particles, unsettling messages, disappearances, and unexpected encounters.

How It Works

Explore the world normally, but pay attention to strange sounds and dark areas. Some creatures can appear during the day and watch you from a distance. If you find a house, El Herrumbre de la Puerta may knock before destroying the entrance and starting the pursuit.

If you are captured, you will be taken to the Monster Dimension. To escape, you must find or craft a portal using:

• 2 Eyes of Ender
• 1 Ender Pearl

In Creative mode, you can find the three spawn eggs in the Creatures tab to test their behaviors. You can also leave the tablet by pressing Esc.

Installation

1. Install Minecraft Java Edition 1.20.1.
2. Install Minecraft Forge for version 1.20.1.
3. Download the mod .jar file.
4. Press Windows + R, type %appdata%, and press Enter.
5. Open the .minecraft folder.
6. Open the mods folder.
7. Place LaPresencia-1.4.0.jar inside.
8. Launch Minecraft using the Forge profile.

Java 17 is recommended. To play on a server, install the same mod file in the server’s mods folder and in the mods folder of every player.
