Kesha: The Parrot With a Soul

The goal of this project is to create a living parrot companion with a soul. I got interested in this idea because there are very few parrot mods out there, and because I’ve lived with my own parrot for a very long time and have learned a lot about his habits and behavior.

WARNING! This mod is not just in alpha, it is in an EXTREMELY raw state. The only reason I’m uploading it to Modrinth right now is to create a foundation for future updates.

Planned features

If I see your support, it will be the best motivation boost for me, and I plan to update the mod very actively:

1. A major combat overhaul to make it realistic and unique.
2. Natural spawning in the world.
3. Personality, hunger, a daily routine (something similar to vanilla villagers), reactions to temperature, and more, so that all of the parrot’s actions are thought-out rather than random.

What’s already in the mod

1. The parrot can be summoned with the command /summon kesha:kesha.
2. The parrot can be tamed with wheat seeds.
3. The parrot behaves like a dog: it follows your commands (sit, protect), follows you around, and teleports to you.
