Item Rarities

Give every item its own rarity!

ItemRarity is a lightweight Fabric mod that lets you customize item rarities in Minecraft. Whether you’re building a modpack, creating an RPG-style experience, or simply want to make rare loot feel more special, Item Rarities Mod gives you control over how item rarity is assigned and displayed.

With custom rarity levels, server-wide settings, and individual item overrides, you can make your Minecraft world feel more unique.

✨ Features

• Custom Rarity Levels — Common, Uncommon, Rare, Epic, Legendary, and Mythic
• Tooltip Icons — display rarity and item-type symbols directly in item tooltips using a custom bitmap font
• Server-Wide Rarities — assign a rarity to any registered item, including items added by other mods
• Individual Item Overrides — give a specific item stack its own rarity, independent of its default rarity or server-wide settings
• Persistent Settings — server-wide rarity rules are saved with your world and remain after restarting the server.
• Multiplayer Support — server-wide rarity settings are synchronized with connected clients
• Simple Commands — configure rarities directly in-game (you need to be an OPERATOR to do that)

📜 Commands

/itemrarity local <item_id> <rarity>

Sets a rarity for an item across the server.

/itemrarity solo <rarity>

Sets a custom rarity on the item currently held in your main hand.

/itemrarity reset <item_id>

Removes the server-wide rarity rule for an item, allowing it to fall back to its individual override or default rarity.

📓Notes:

• item_id = The item ID whose rarity you want to change (ex.: minecraft:diamond)
• rarity = New rarity of the item (ex.: legendary) 

• All rarities in the mod you can use in <rarity>: common, uncommon, rare, epic, mythic, legendary
• You CAN’T change whether it’s an item or a block, these “rarities” are fixed!
• You have to be an OPERATOR to execute these commands
