Intranet

A computer on your desk, a phone in your pocket – and a web browser and messenger for in-game websites.

Intranet adds a Computer block, a Phone and a Tablet. Right-click and you are in Intranet OS: a desktop
with a taskbar, a start menu and windows you can drag around, or a home screen with apps on the phone. The websites
and chats come from the server: other mods and data packs put their shops, bank statements, catalogues and customers
there, so you can do your business at a desk or on the go instead of in yet another block menu.

What is in it

• Computer – crafted from iron, glass panes, redstone, quartz and a button. Turns to face you when placed.
• Phone and Tablet – the same system in a mobile look, as long as the device is in your hand.
• Intranet OS – wallpaper, taskbar with clock, date and weather, start menu with search, windows that can be
  moved, minimised and maximised.
• Intranet Browser – tabs, back and forward (also with the side mouse buttons), real-looking domains like
  pebblebank.com in the address bar, a start page with search and a tile for every website. Some websites are not
  on the start page – try your luck.
• Messenger – contacts, chats with items and buttons, unread badges.
• Light and dark mode for all websites and the messenger, saved on your own computer.

Websites and apps

On its own, Intranet brings the browser, the messenger, the start page and anything you add with a data pack
(data/<namespace>/intranet_page/). The real content comes from mods that support it, for example the shop of
Data Center, online banking in Money, the card market of TCG Packs and the street dealer app of
Street Trade.

For mod authors there is a Java API: pages per player with products and actions the server checks, page trees,
domains, search entries, messenger contacts and chats, and whole apps with their own icon, tabs, colours and style –
plus ready-made building blocks (header, banner, cards, info table, line chart, number field, chips, pictures).

Requirements

• Nothing but NeoForge. Optional: Tycoon Calendar for the date on the taskbar.

Minecraft 1.21.1, NeoForge 21.1.x. Works in singleplayer and on dedicated servers; everything a page sells or does is
checked by the server.

A note on how this was made

This mod was built with substantial help from AI. I gave the direction; the design, the code, the textures and this
text were written by an AI assistant. I would rather say that plainly than have you wonder.
