Simple Grave Stones

When you die, your items, armor and XP are stored in a grave instead of dropping on the ground. Walk back, right-click the grave, and you get everything back. Armor goes into the armor slots again.

Features

• Grave on death: a player head marks the spot where you died. Items and dropped XP are stored inside.
• Armor goes back into its slots: helmet, chestplate, leggings, boots and the offhand item are put back where they were. If a slot is already taken, the item goes into your inventory instead.
• Cause and time of death: a floating text above the grave shows how you died and when. The cause is the normal Minecraft death message, so every player sees it in their own game language.
• Owner protection: for the first 10 minutes only the owner can open the grave. After that anyone can. You can change this or lock graves to the owner permanently.
• Safe from damage: explosions, pistons, flowing water and the Wither can’t destroy a grave.
• Safe placement: if you die in the void or inside a block, the plugin looks for a free spot nearby. If it finds none, your items drop normally.
• Compass tracking: /grave track points your compass at one of your graves.
• English and German: every player picks their own language. New players get their game language automatically if it is English or German.

Aliases: /gs, /graves. You can also use /gravelang <en|de> or /sprache <en|de> to change the language.

Configuration

Everything is in plugins/GraveStone/config.yml:

• protection-minutes: how long only the owner can open a grave (0 = no protection, -1 = owner only, forever)
• expire-minutes: time until a grave expires (0 = never)
• expire-action: DROP or DELETE the items when a grave expires
• max-graves-per-player: the oldest grave expires when a player goes over this limit
• store-xp: store dropped XP in the grave
• hologram: show the text above the grave
• time-format and time-zone: how the time of death is shown
• disabled-worlds: worlds where death works as usual

The messages can be edited in plugins/GraveStone/lang/en.yml and de.yml.

Graves are saved to disk right away, so they survive restarts and crashes. If a player has keepInventory enabled, no grave is created.
