# 👑 Friend Dictator

**One player rules. Everyone else survives.**

Friend Dictator turns your Minecraft server into a social experiment. When the game begins, one player is randomly crowned **Dictator** — granted Creative mode and the power to write the laws. Everyone else becomes a **Worker**, stuck in Survival, bound by whatever rules the Dictator decides to impose.

But power has a price: get too close to a Worker, and the Dictator’s Creative mode shuts off. And if the Dictator ever falls… someone else takes the crown.

## ⚔️ How It Works

### 🕒 Waiting for Friends
The game won’t start with fewer than 2 players online. Once a second player joins, a **120-second countdown** begins (with chat updates every 10 seconds) so the rest of your friends have time to connect. When the timer hits zero, a random participant is crowned Dictator. Anyone joining after that becomes a Worker automatically.

### 🧱 The Vulnerability Rule

Every tick, the mod checks the Dictator’s chunk. If a living Worker steps into the **same 16×16 chunk**, the Dictator is instantly kicked out of Creative mode into Survival — with a warning on screen. Creative returns the moment the coast is clear.

### 🔥 Revolution

– **Killed by a Worker?** That Worker becomes the new Dictator immediately, crown and all.
– **Died some other way** (lava, mobs, fall damage, your own dumb rules)? A new Dictator is chosen at random from the survivors — never the one who just died.

## 📜 The Law: `/dictatorrule`

Only the current Dictator can issue commands, and every argument supports **TAB autocomplete**.

### 🅰️ Ban an Item

Workers can no longer pick up the banned item — off the ground, out of chests, from crafting, anywhere. It gets stripped from their inventory automatically.

Cap or floor a Worker’s health, hunger, or max item stack size. Want everyone limited to holding one block at a time? Go ahead.

### 🅲 Booby-Trap the Ground

Step on the wrong block and suffer the consequences — instant death, a forced teleport, or a status effect. All 36+ vanilla potion effects are supported, including the newest ones (Glowing, Raid Omen, Wind Charged, Weaving, Oozing, Infesting).

## 💡 Design Philosophy

Friend Dictator is built for **blind rule-making** — there’s no validation, no conflict checking. The Dictator can stack contradictory laws, and the game won’t stop them. Chaos is a feature, not a bug.
