Animated block placement and small interaction animations for Minecraft.

About

Fresh Blocks Animation adds animations to block placement without changing the actual placement itself.

Blocks are still placed instantly — the animation is purely visual.

Blocks can grow, pop, slide, fall, wobble or fade into view. Choose one animation or use Random to mix them.

Animations use the block’s own model, textures and lighting. Doors, beds and double chests animate together, with their parts staying in sync.

Extra animations

Placement animations can use transparency, fade from dark to normal lighting, or show extra textures such as an enchanted shine.

There are also effects for a few other things:

• Slime blocks squash when you land on them
• Jukeboxes pulse while playing music
• Note blocks pulse when used
• Anvils react when used
• Furnaces give off extra smoke
• Particles can appear when placing or breaking blocks

Config

Animations, speed, variation and extra effects can be changed from the in-game config screen.

You can also add or create custom animations using JSON files. These can control movement, rotation, size, transparency and extra textures. Changes can be reloaded without restarting the game.

Extra textures are disabled while shaders are active.

The mod is fully client-side, so it works on servers without being installed server-side.
