Foxfire

**Foxfire** is a set of minimods that add more flavour to vanilla Minecraft. Every minimod, and every feature inside it, can be switched on or off, so you keep only what you want.

Permissions: You may include Foxfire in modpacks, on any platform, with credit and a link to this page. Please don’t re-upload it elsewhere on its own.

## Switching things on and off

Open **Mods → Foxfire → Config** in game, or edit `config/foxfire-startup.toml`. Changes apply after a restart.

– Each minimod has its own switch, and so does each feature inside it.
– Switching something off stops what it does. Its recipes disappear and its blocks stop working, but your world stays loadable.
– On a server, the server’s config decides. Players see buttons and features only when the server has them on.

Foxfire is needed on both the client and the server.

## Minimods

### Infused Stations
Fuel-free versions of the furnace, blast furnace, smoker, brewing stand and quern. Craft any of them by surrounding the vanilla block with eight crying obsidian.
– Each station keeps its vanilla speed and its recipe type: an infused blast furnace still only smelts ores.
– Two infused brewing stands apply the Extended (redstone) or Potent (glowstone) upgrade to every brew for free.

### Birb
Parrots you can breed. Every birb carries two colour genes, and chicks inherit one from each parent.
– 5 pure colours and 10 hybrids make 15 variants. About 1 in 100 is born with a rare special look.
– Birbs replace parrots in natural spawning. Tame and breed them with seeds.

### Encaged
Craftable mob spawners for 12 mobs:
– **Overworld:** spider, cave spider, skeleton, zombie and creeper.
– **Nether:** blaze, wither skeleton and zombified piglin.
– **Aquatic:** drowned, squid, glow squid and guardian. These need water.
– Every ingredient is a vanilla drop or block. Mining a placed spawner returns it with its mob.

### Woodwork
– **Sawmill:** a stonecutter for logs, covering every overworld and nether tree.
– **Lumberjack:** a villager who works at the sawmill. Buys logs, sells saplings, storage and enchanted axes.
– **Resined Wood:** wood that axes won’t strip and fire won’t burn. Use a resin clump on a block, like waxing copper.

### Apiary
– **Hive:** the beehive recipe makes a hive that shows its honey, comb and bees. Harvesting never angers its bees.
– **Honey Press:** presses honeycomb into honey bottles or a new honey bucket.
– **Beekeeper:** a villager who buys honey and comb, and sells bees in bottles and beekeeping gear.

### Stowage
– **Sorting Hopper:** a hopper with five filter slots, twice as fast as a vanilla hopper.
– **Chest Sorting:** Sort, Deposit and Fill Stacks buttons on chests, barrels, ender chests and shulker boxes. Sort groups items the way a player would: each wood’s logs, planks and slabs together, each metal’s block, ingot and ore together.
– **Charged Ender Chest:** place two side by side for a double ender chest, with 27 extra slots of your own.

### Darkheart
Permanent extra hearts, earned from the warden.
– Wardens killed by a player drop a Warden Heart. Four totems turn it into an Awakened Warden Heart.
– Hold one when you die, or when a totem saves you, to gain a heart for good. That’s how it works in hardcore too.
– **Radiance:** a weapon enchantment that only adds damage against wardens.
– Up to 50 hearts by default; server admins can set the cap anywhere from 10 to 512.

### Stonemill
– **Quern:** a furnace-like station that grinds rock into cobblestone, gravel, sand, clay and quartz. A steady supply of sand and clay without a duplication farm.

## Compatibility

– Minecraft 26.3, NeoForge 26.3.0.84 or newer.
– Sorting rules and quern grinds are data files, so datapacks can change or extend them.
