Forgotten Constructs

Forgotten Constructs adds three mechanical companions waiting to be discovered among overgrown ruins. Restore their damaged mechanisms, customise their appearance, and give them a new purpose at your base.

Gardener

An old caretaker with a worn hat and a steady pair of hands. Harvests mature crops, replants them using available seeds, and stores the harvest in its nine-slot inventory. Assign a garden centre with the Tuning Staff and let it tend your crops.

Carrier

A dependable helper with a wooden crate on its back. Transports items between two assigned containers, physically walking each delivery route. Supports vanilla chests, barrels, and shulker boxes. If the destination is full, it keeps its cargo and waits.

Lamplighter

A quiet companion for the hours after sunset. Follows a nighttime patrol route, illuminates nearby space, and rings its bell when hostile mobs approach. You can assign up to eight waypoints with the Tuning Staff.

Getting Started

Find a broken construct in ruins throughout newly generated Overworld terrain. Repair it by right-clicking with these materials in order:

4 Copper Ingots → 2 Iron Ingots → 1 Redstone Dust

After a short startup animation, it becomes your companion. Use a Tuning Staff to assign tasks, or craft a Construct Field Guide for instructions inside the game.

Controls & Customisation

• Empty-hand right-click: open its inventory.
• Sneak + empty-hand right-click: switch between Follow, Work, and Stay.
• Dyes: change eye colour.
• Copper Ingots: change the body finish.
• Shears: change decorative details.
• Iron Ingots: heal damage.

Constructs need walkable paths and loaded chunks to work.
