🦩 Flamingo Mod

Flamingo Mod was created for Flamingo Island Season 2, and is made to go hand in hand with the Flamingo Island Map.

This mod can be used on its own to create a full-scale event: place flamingos across a world, invite players, and you instantly have a competitive PVP/PVE hunt.

But where Flamingo Mod truly shines is when combined with other mods that enrich the PVP and PVE experience, such as:

• Spartan Weaponry (new weapons)
• Sophisticated Backpacks (backpacks and storage)
• Alex’s Mobs (new creatures)

When used as part of a server modpack, Flamingo Mod becomes a complete event experience, mixing treasure hunt mechanics, PVP battles, PVE guardians, and survival challenges.

Flamingo Roster

• Pink Flamingo – common, lowest point value.
• Blue Flamingo – rare night version of the pink one, higher points.
• Gold Flamingo – spawns 3 Black Flamingos (fast and strong defenders).
• Silver Flamingo – spawns 3 Ghost Flamingos (flying defenders).
• Rainbow Flamingo – visible with a beacon beam, summons the Flamingod (boss).

Guardians & Bosses

• Black Flamingo – fast, high damage.
• Ghost Flamingo – flying defender.
• Flamingod – special boss that summons both Black & Ghost Flamingos.

Players must defeat these entities before they can collect the rare flamingos.

The Smoke Monster

At night, there is a chance for the Smoke Monster to appear.

• It is an invisible, smoky entity that hunts a random player.
• It passes through walls and blocks, cannot be killed, and cannot be stopped.
• Players can hear its presence through its unique sound.
• The only defense is the Protective Totem, crafted with a flamingo and gold nuggets.

Protective Totem

• Works for 4 uses.
• Creates a protective aura where the Smoke Monster cannot enter.
• Allows players to survive the hunt until the monster despawns.

Totem Craft :

This creates a risk/reward system at night:

• Pink Flamingos turn into Blue Flamingos (worth more points).
• But hunting at night puts players at risk of being chased by the Smoke Monster.

Event Gameplay

• Flamingos do not spawn naturally. They must be placed manually by the event creator.
• This allows full control to design PVP/PVE arenas:
  • Example: a Gold Flamingo placed in a valley forces players to fight both defenders and each other.
  • A Rainbow Flamingo with its beacon beam creates a natural arena fight, mixing boss fight and PVP chaos.
• During the event, players roam the map, collect flamingos, score points, and try to survive the Smoke Monster at night.
