Transform your tamed wolves into loyal fetching companions! Fetch is a Minecraft Forge mod that brings interactive gameplay to wolf companionship. Throw sticks, bones, and other items for your wolves to retrieve, with fully configurable behaviors and immersive mechanics.

Throw & Retrieve: Toss sticks, bones, and rotten flesh for your wolves to fetch

Smart AI: Wolves intelligently search for nearby items and retrieve them back to you

Customizable Fetch Distance: Adjustable search radius (8-64 blocks) to suit your preference

Carry Mechanics: Wolves either drop fetched items or hold them until you right-click them

Sticks (default)

Bones (optional, enabled by default)

Rotten Flesh (optional, disabled by default)

Fully configurable to enable/disable any item type

Bone Feeding: Wolves at low health can eat delivered bones to heal (1-20 hearts configurable)

Rotten Flesh Recovery: Optional rotten flesh healing mechanic for adventurous players

On-Delivery Healing: Wolves automatically consume food upon delivery if damaged

Rare Bonding Event: ~2% chance when a fully-healed wolf delivers a bone (configurable)

Shared Damage: Bonded wolves take a portion of damage you receive (50% default, configurable)

Range-Based Mechanics: Distance-based damage sharing (16 blocks default)

Special Achievement: Unlock the “Best Friends” advancement through bonding

Sadness Reduction: Bonding with a new wolf reduces any active Sadness effect by half

Bonding Effect: Special bond between you and your wolf (5 minutes default)

Rage Effect: Triggered if your bonded wolf is killed by an attacker

Sadness Effect: Applied after Rage expires, representing grief

Every major system in Fetch is fully configurable, allowing players to tailor wolf behavior, fetch mechanics, healing, happiness, bonding, and visual effects to match their preferred playstyle. From adjusting fetch speed and search radius to fine-tuning emotional impacts, healing values, bonding chances, and immersion features like particles and sounds, the mod is designed to be flexible without being intrusive, making it suitable for casual, immersive, or hardcore survival experiences.

Stuck Detection: Wolves give up on unreachable items after timeout

Item Protection: Wolves won’t immediately re-fetch items they just dropped
