Carp are robust freshwater fish, native to Eurasia but now found worldwide. They are important in aquaculture and sport fishing in many regions. They can be breed in fish farms by using seeds.

Catfish are a diverse group of ray‐finned fish that are easily recognized by their smooth, scaleless skin and long, whisker-like barbels around the mouth. They inhabit freshwater environments around the world, often living near the bottom of lakes and rivers where they scavenge for food. Adaptable and hardy, catfish are popular with anglers for their strong fighting ability and are also widely enjoyed as a food source in many cultures. They can be butchered for filets on a meathook or roasted whole.

Eels are elongated, snake‐like fish distinguished by their smooth, slimy, scaleless skin and undulating, anguilliform bodies. Mackerel are sleek, migratory pelagic fish known for their streamlined bodies and vibrant blue-green backs that fade to silvery bellies. Inhabiting oceans, they travel in large schools and are prized for their rich, oily flesh.

Perches are freshwater fish, They are typically characterized by a deep, laterally compressed body with two distinct dorsal fins, the first spiny and the second soft-rayed and a forked tail. Common species include the European perch and the yellow perch, which display striking vertical stripes on their sides and vary in color from greenish to yellow with red or orange accents on their fins. Popular with anglers, perches are known for their firm, mild flesh and are often prized both as game fish and for their culinary value.
