Previously released for older Minecraft versions — now completely rewritten for NeoForge 1.21.1!

A dedicated mining dimension for NeoForge 1.21.1 — keep your Overworld beautiful and mine somewhere else!

Build a glowing portal, step through, and arrive in a resource world full of ores. Strip-mine it, blow it up, flatten it: your base stays untouched. Everything can be configured, in-game, in singleplayer and on servers.

Inspired by Aroma1997’s Dimensional World, rebuilt from scratch for modern NeoForge.

✨ Features

🌀 A portal that glows in the dark

Build a frame like a Nether portal (from 2×3 up to 21×21 inside, corners optional) and right-click it with the Mining Portal Igniter. The frame’s crystals pulse and catch the light, and the portal swirls with animated reflections.

On the other side, a return portal is created automatically on a safe platform, and it takes you back exactly to the portal you came from.

💎 Way more ores — including other mods’ ores

The mining dimension uses ore multipliers, set per ore:

• minecraft:diamond_ore=3 means three times more diamonds (the deepslate variant is included automatically).
• A default multiplier applies to every other ore, so ores from other mods are boosted too, with no extra setup.
• Need an ore that doesn’t normally generate here? Add your own veins with extra ores (size, count, height range, which stone it replaces).

🌍 Normal or flat, with or without trees and villages

• Normal: mountains, caves, ravines, aquifers and mineshafts.
• Flat: a flat world with 60 layers of stone and 63 of deepslate under the grass, perfect for strip-mining.
• Trees on/off, villages on/off.

⚙️ In-game configuration (singleplayer AND multiplayer)

Press K (rebindable) or use /ecminingworld config. The settings come from the server, so on a multiplayer server an operator can change them without touching any file. From the main menu, you can also use Mods → EC Mining-World → Config.

Settings marked ⟳ apply after a restart, in newly generated chunks. Everything is also stored in config/ecminingworld-common.toml.

You’ll need 10 frame blocks for the smallest portal (14 with corners).

📦 Installation

• Minecraft 1.21.1 with NeoForge 21.1.259 or newer.
• Install the mod on both the client and the server.
• No other dependencies.

❓ FAQ

Can I use it in a modpack? Yes, go ahead!

Does it work with ore mods (Create, Mekanism, Thermal…)? Yes. Their ores generate in the mining dimension and the default multiplier boosts them. You can also give each one its own multiplier.

Will resetting delete my Overworld? No. Reset on startup only erases the mining dimension, and it’s off by default.

• Portail lumineux : construis un cadre comme un portail du Nether, puis active-le avec l’Activateur de portail minier. De l’autre côté, un portail de retour est créé automatiquement et te ramène à ton point de départ.
• Beaucoup plus de minerais : un multiplicateur par minerai et un multiplicateur par défaut, qui s’applique aussi aux minerais des autres mods. Tu peux aussi ajouter des filons personnalisés.
• Monde normal ou plat, avec ou sans arbres et villages.
• Vision nocturne, mobs agressifs et mobs passifs activables ou non.
• Réglages en jeu (touche K ou /ecminingworld config), en solo comme en multijoueur. Sur un serveur, seuls les opérateurs peuvent les modifier.
• Le mod est traduit en français et en anglais.
