Eternal Blizzard Survival

Eternal Blizzard Survival turns Minecraft survival into a harsh ice-age experience where staying warm becomes just as important as finding food.

Survive changing snowstorms, manage your body temperature, protect your supplies from freezing and use heat sources, armor and enchantments to fight back against the cold.

❄ Features

Dynamic climate system with four stages: Calm, Light Snow, Heavy Snow and Blizzard
Frost HUD showing your current exposure to the cold
Frozen I & Frozen II status effects as your frost level increases
Take freeze damage at maximum frost
Hunger affects cold resistance — starving players freeze significantly faster
Water and powder snow rapidly increase frost
Food, potions and water buckets can freeze
Frozen items cannot be used until they are thawed
Thaw frozen supplies using a furnace, smoker or blast furnace
Cold weather slows crop growth
Heat sources restore normal crop growth within their effective radius
Different armor materials provide different amounts of insulation
Leather armor provides the best protection against the cold
New Warmth I–IV enchantment for every armor slot
Warmth is compatible with other armor enchantments
Increased snow particles depending on the current climate
Optimized heat-source detection designed for survival worlds and servers

🔥 Heat Sources

Different blocks provide different amounts of warmth:

Torch — 7 blocks
Lantern — 9 blocks
Furnace / Smoker / Blast Furnace — 12 blocks while lit
Campfire — 16 blocks while lit
Fire — 14 blocks
Lava — 18 blocks
Lava Cauldron — 12 blocks
Magma Block — 6 blocks

Only the strongest nearby heat source counts, so stacking dozens of torches will not multiply the effect.

🌨 Climate Stages

The world automatically switches between weighted climate stages:

Calm — 10%
Light Snow — 30%
Heavy Snow — 40%
Blizzard — 20%

Climate can also be manually controlled for 10 minutes:

/weather calm

/weather light_snow

/weather heavy_snow

/weather blizzard

After 10 minutes, automatic climate selection resumes.

🧊 Snow & Ice

Heat sources can protect players and crops over their full heat radius.

Snow and ice behave differently: they only melt when an active heat source is directly adjacent. This prevents large heat radii from destroying the frozen landscape around your base.
