EasyCrafting is a community-made port of the original EasyCrafting mod by LepkoQQ, originally created for Minecraft 1.7.10. The original mod brought a fantastic quality-of-life improvement to Minecraft, making crafting easier, faster, and more convenient. This project was created with one goal in mind: to bring back a great mod from the past and let a new generation of Minecraft players enjoy it again.

I want to be completely transparent: this port was developed with the assistance of AI. However, it was not made without care or passion. A lot of love and effort went into bringing this classic idea back to life, adapting it for a modern version of Minecraft, and preserving what made the original mod so special.

To me, this project is about more than just crafting. It’s about preserving a little piece of Minecraft modding history and showing that even old ideas can find a new home in today’s Minecraft community.

I also hope this project inspires more people to revisit forgotten mods, experiment with new ideas, and create quality-of-life improvements that make the game more enjoyable for everyone. You don’t always need to reinvent the wheel — sometimes, bringing back something great is more than enough.
