Dynamic Trees for Goety

Turns Goety’s five sapling trees into Dynamic Trees trees: pine, windswept, rotten, haunted and chorus grow branch by branch from a seed, thicken with age and fall as a whole when the trunk is cut. In newly generated chunks, pine and windswept replace Goety’s static ones in vanilla hills and mountains. Needs Dynamic Trees and Goety.

Pine and windswept

• Pine grows as a conifer in the spruce shape.
• Windswept grows flat-topped, in the acacia shape.
• Goety’s seven red moss blocks count as soil for Dynamic Trees. Where they generate, pine also stands on snow, windswept on snow and gravel.

Rotten, haunted and chorus

• Rotten grows in the oak shape.
• Haunted is a bare trunk without leaves, as in Goety. It is set not to rot away.
• Chorus grows in the cherry shape on Goety’s Chorus Grass, End Growth, End Soil and End Dirt, and on end stone.
• None of the three generates in the world, as in Goety: they are planted.

Pine Cone and seeds

• Five seeds: Pine Cone, Windswept Seed, Rotten Seed, Haunted Seed and Chorus Seed. A Goety sapling crafted with a Dynamic Trees dirt bucket gives its seed, and leaves drop seeds too.
• A placed Goety sapling stays static unless replaceVanillaSaplings is on in the Dynamic Trees config.
• There is no dynamic mega pine or mega chorus.

Hills and mountains

• Vanilla biomes tagged #minecraft:is_hill or #c:is_mountain generate pine and windswept among Dynamic Trees’ spruce and oak.
• Grove, Snowy Slopes, Frozen Peaks and Jagged Peaks get pine and spruce only.
• Modded biomes in those tags are not touched.
• Only chunks generated after installing change.

Requirements

Minecraft 1.21.1, Java 21, NeoForge 21.1, on the server and the client. Needs Dynamic Trees 1.7.2 or newer and Goety 3.1.4 or newer, which itself needs Curios; built against Dynamic Trees 1.7.2 and Goety 3.1.4. The growth shapes are Dynamic Trees’ own, used under its MIT licence.

This mod has been abandoned. It works fine, but it will not receive updates.
