Dynamic Trees for Create: Garnished

Turns Create: Garnished’s nine nut trees and its sepia fungus into Dynamic Trees trees: they grow branch by branch from a seed, thicken with age and fall as a whole when the trunk is cut. The nut trees carry their nuts as fruit. Needs Dynamic Trees and Create: Garnished, which itself needs Create.

The nut trees

• Almond, cashew, chestnut, hazelnut, macadamia, peanut, pecan, pistachio and walnut each become a species of their own on the shared Nut Log trunk.
• Each grows in the shape of a Dynamic Trees oak, with its first branches 4 blocks up.
• A tree wears its own nut’s leaves throughout. Garnished’s plain Nut Leaves are not used.
• The branches can be stripped.

Nuts on the branch

• Every nut tree grows its nut as a hanging fruit in four stages. A ripe one drops 1 to 2 ungarnished nuts of its kind.
• The seeds carry the cracked nuts’ names, from Cracked Almond to Cracked Walnut. Leaves drop them, and a Garnished cracked nut crafted with a Dynamic Trees dirt bucket gives the seed.
• A Garnished cracked nut itself still plants a static sapling unless replaceVanillaSaplings is on in the Dynamic Trees config.

Sepia fungus

• The sepia fungus grows as a Dynamic Trees fungus, with a Sepia Stem, a Sepia Wart Block cap and shroomlights.
• Its seed is the Sepia Cap. It roots on soul sand, soul soil and netherrack.

Plains and soul sand valleys

• Biomes tagged #garnished:allows_for_nuts, plains by default, generate nut trees among Dynamic Trees’ oaks: 9 of every 30 trees, one of each kind.
• Soul sand valleys generate dynamic sepia fungi.
• Only chunks generated after installing change. Trees already standing stay static.

Requirements

Minecraft 1.21.1, Java 21, NeoForge 21.1, on the server and the client. Needs Dynamic Trees 1.7.2 or newer and Create: Garnished, which needs Create 6; built against Dynamic Trees 1.7.2 and the Create: Garnished build 26-april-foods. The growth shapes are Dynamic Trees’ own oak and crimson fungus, used under its MIT licence.

This mod has been abandoned. It works fine, but it will not receive updates.
