Dress Up Cats

Dress up your cats! Give your cats hats, collars, clothes, glasses and wings, and watch them wear them everywhere — sitting, napping, loafing and chasing each other.

Craft a Training Stick (stick + leather) and right-click your tamed cat to open its inventory. More in the wiki!

Features

👒 145+ outfits

• Five slots: head, neck, body, face and back. Face and back items layer over hats and clothes.
• Frills, dreamy pastels, tropical, suits, street wear, bees, princesses, maids, school uniforms, animal costumes (shark, bear, bunny, wolf, pig, panda, frog, penguin, lion, dinosaur), mob costumes (enderman, creeper, skeleton, spider, zombie, slime, shulker, wither), food, Japanese outfits, pirates, detectives, astronauts and more.
• Vanilla helmets and chestplates fit too. Outfits give armor and take vanilla armor enchantments.
• Everything is crafted from vanilla items only.
• Kittens and chubby cats wear outfits that fit their size.

🎨 Dye slots and sets

• Dyeable outfits get a dye slot next to them: drop in any dye to recolor.
• Wear a full set for a little flourish: dripping honey, falling snow, floating notes, animal sounds…
• Some sets give your cat a job: the Chef set cooks food in a cooking slot, the Lumberjack set opens a crafting table, and the Dimension Traveler set opens your ender chest — right from the cat’s inventory.

✨ Outfits that help

• Lantern / halo: lights up the dark around your cat.
• Space suit: floaty moon jumps and slow falling. Space helmet: breathes under water.
• Bunny costume: hops up steps.
• Swim ring: floats, and you swim faster with your cat nearby.
• Mob costumes have quirks: the enderman cat blinks around, the creeper cat swells up hissing… and only puffs out smoke, the spider cat climbs walls, the shulker cat floats up into the air, the wither cat weakens nearby monsters.
• Jetpack: your cat takes off now and then and flies around — and flies after you when you climb up high.

🎒 Cat inventory and tools

• Right-click your cat with the Training Stick to open its inventory: equipment, dyes and 18 slots of storage.
• Cats eat fish from their storage when hurt.
• Training Stick: shoo a cat away without hurting it, give orders to all your cats nearby (sit / follow / wander), and have them put their things away in a chest — or only their spare clothes in a closet.
• Wander mode: cats roam freely around a spot instead of following you.
• Cat Closet: a place for every outfit, 64 each, sorted automatically.
• Food Bowl: hurt cats come and eat. Milk Dish: cats come for a sip now and then.
• Kitten Potion: turns a grown cat back into a kitten, keeping everything else.
• Cat Doll: a tamed cat that dies leaves a doll with all its things. Feed the doll a fish to bring your cat back.

😺 Cute cat behavior

Cats scratch, roll on their backs, play-fight, nap in the coziest spot, knead before lying down, stretch and yawn, groom, tilt their heads at you, rub against your legs, greet you when you come back, answer to their name in chat, chatter at birds, shake themselves dry after a swim, groom each other, touch noses, curl up together, back away from a bucket of water (or a pumpkin-headed player!), and much more. Every cat has its own size and build — some are a little chubby.

Notes

• Needed on both the client and the server; tested in multiplayer. Bug reports and ideas are very welcome!
• Works on NeoForge and Fabric (Fabric needs Fabric API), for Minecraft 26.1.2, 26.2 and 26.3.
• The mod changes how stray cats react to players (they are shy, but come for fish, as in vanilla), which may clash with other mods that change cat AI.
