Dreg Hunger System reworks Minecraft’s vanilla hunger mechanics to make food, movement, and survival more meaningful without completely changing the game you know and love.

Instead of simply eating whenever your hunger bar gets low, you’ll need to think about how you spend your energy and manage your food throughout your adventure.

Keeps Minecraft’s familiar 20-point hunger and saturation system while changing how hunger is consumed and affects gameplay.

🏃 Activity-Based Hunger Consumption

Your actions matter! Moving, jumping, swimming, and other activities consume energy, making exploration and survival more challenging.

⏳ Passive Hunger Drain

Even standing around consumes a small amount of energy. Food is now an essential part of everyday survival.

Keeping yourself well-fed comes with benefits! A full stomach can give you a movement speed boost.

🐌 Low Hunger Penalties

Running low on food isn’t just an inconvenience anymore. As hunger drops, your movement speed suffers, making survival increasingly difficult.

Running out of food can actually kill you. Make sure you’re prepared before heading out on a long adventure!

Why This Mod?

Minecraft has plenty of food, but hunger rarely feels like a serious survival mechanic.

This mod aims to change that by making food management a meaningful part of exploration and everyday gameplay.

Inspired by classic survival mods such as MITE (Minecraft Is Too Easy), Dreg Hunger System offers my own take on a more engaging hunger experience.
