How Do You Get Infected?

Getting hit once by any creature classified as a Zombie (except for Drowned) will give you the infection.

What To Do When Infected?

Getting to the official cure is resource-demanding, it’s better if you craft Suppressants first before getting to the cure so you have more time to spend before you are turned undead (the full infection duration is 30 minutes).

What Do Suppressants Do?

Suppressant will give you 20 minutes of safety from the virus, the infection’s progress will be paused if you are infected. You can still use this even if you aren’t infected. The effect will prevent a singular Zombie attack from dealing infection, however the effect will disappear along with the attack.

How Do I Cure Myself?

Getting your hands on Antidote or Suppressants alone will not be directly helpful, you’re going to need to craft a syringe (with an iron nugget and 2 glass panes), put the syringe together with the Antidote/Suppressant in your 2×2 inventory crafting space or the crafting table, this will grant you the related medicine’s syringe. You can then apply this syringe on your allies by hitting them with it, or right click to apply it to yourself. Do be aware, the curing process will take 90 seconds and any extra hit from a Zombie during that time will cancel the cure!

How Do I Keep Myself Safe?

You will spawn with 3 Suppressants (optional gamerule setting that’s enabled by default) that you can put into a syringe to use right away. However if you ran out of those, you can still make your Suppressants and Antidotes just to keep them in your inventory. You can only hold 1 syringe per stack, but you can hold 8 Antidotes per stack and 16 Suppressants per stack.

Can I Weaponize This Infection?

Against mobs and creatures? No. Against players? Yes. You can extract your own blood if your infected, or a Zombie’s blood to obtain a syringe full of infected blood. If you hit a player with this, they will recieve the “Heavy Infection” status effect for a few seconds, this effect starts infection and makes the progress speed of the infection 4x times faster for the duration.

What Else Can I Do With The Cure?

Using the Antidote, you can convert Zombie Villagers, Zombified Piglins, Zombie Horses back to their original state in a matter of ~15 seconds. If the Antidote is used on a default Zombie, it will kill it instantly after the cure duration, since their infection is too far to fix now.
