Deep Dark Dimension

Deep Dark Dimension is a full-scale Client-Side + Server-Side dimension mod for Minecraft 26.2 (Fabric).

It adds the entire Sculk World dimension with 8 custom biomes, 13 new mobs, bosses, weapons, armor, machines, a trading profession, Ancient City progression, custom wood families, structures, materials, and hundreds of blocks.

This project is a native Minecraft 26.2 / Fabric / Java 25 port and recreation of Arda’s Sculks, preserving the original mod’s content and gameplay while rebuilding it for modern Minecraft.

Ancient City & Portal

The mysterious Reinforced Deepslate structure found in Ancient Cities finally has a purpose.

Craft the Sculk World Igniter, activate a Reinforced Deepslate frame, and open a gateway into the Sculk World.

2. Build or locate the portal frame.
3. Craft the Sculk World Igniter.
4. Right-click Reinforced Deepslate with the igniter.
5. Enter the activated portal.
6. Survive the Sculk World.

Sculk Flowers

The mod includes many custom sculk flowers and plants that can be used for:

Ancient City Ores

Ancient Cities and the Deep Dark contain additional ores and resources used throughout the mod’s progression.

These resources connect exploration of the Overworld Deep Dark with progression inside the Sculk World.

Ancient City chests contain additional mod-specific items.

Important progression items include the Sculkerite Upgrade Template and materials required for advanced Sculk equipment.

Sculk Golem

The Sculk Golem is a massive boss with:

780 HP

and a dedicated boss bar.

The Sculk Golem primarily targets players, preventing your other sculk allies from becoming unnecessary casualties during the encounter.

Defeating it rewards valuable progression materials such as Sculk Crystal, used for high-level Sculkerite equipment.

Shadow Hunter

A dangerous Sculk World predator designed as a high-level combat encounter.

Radioactive Warden

A radioactive mutation of one of Minecraft’s most dangerous creatures.

The Radioactive Warden is associated with the radioactive regions and late-game progression of the Sculk World.

Dedicated spawner blocks allow major enemies to be used for:

8 Custom Biomes

The Sculk World is not one enormous biome.

It uses multi-noise biome selection, custom terrain and surface rules to distribute eight different environments throughout the dimension.

Soul Sculk Plains

Soul-infused terrain containing vegetation capable of slowing creatures.

Nearby Soul Sculk Sensors can make traversal even more dangerous.

Sculk Plains

Large open sections of the dimension dominated by sculk.

The terrain is comparatively flat and easy to traverse, but offers little protection from hostile creatures.

Black Birch Forest

A dark biome dominated by Black Birch trees.

It is home to dangerous forest creatures including the Sculk Creaking.

Sculk Deserts

Dry and resource-poor parts of the dimension where wood can be difficult to find.

Ancient portal structures can be encountered throughout these regions.

Wisterya Forest

A much more colorful region filled with distinctive Wisterya trees and unusual terrain formations.

Sculk Woods

A forested variation of the Sculk Plains containing substantially more trees and vegetation.

Radioactive Balsa Forest

A dangerous radioactive biome containing Radioactive Balsa trees, glowing vegetation and radioactive sculk content.

Mushroom Sculk Forest

A fungal Sculk World ecosystem where giant mushroom-like vegetation grows alongside the sculk.

This biome has its own vegetation and atmosphere and completes the dimension’s 8-biome world-generation system.

13 New Mobs

Most non-boss creatures spawn naturally in their corresponding Sculk World biomes.

They are part of the dimension’s actual ecosystem rather than being available only through spawn eggs.

A sculk-infested Creeper.

Its explosion creates Darkness and slowing effects around the blast.

Sculk Skeleton

A ranged sculk Skeleton whose attacks can:

A sculk-corrupted Enderman adapted to the new dimension.

It uses a highly translucent appearance, making it difficult to see against the Sculk World.

The Dark Villager is a custom profession specializing in Ancient City and Deep Dark items.

The profession uses the Advanced Furnace as its workstation.

Trading

The Dark Villager has:

The profession trades Sculk resources using specialized currency including Sculked Emeralds.

This creates a renewable Sculk economy for long-term survival worlds and multiplayer servers.

The Advanced Furnace is a functional machine used for high-level material conversion.

A typical recipe uses:

1. Molten Iron Bucket
2. Molten Sculk Bucket
3. The item being transformed
4. Fuel

After processing, the resulting upgraded item and returned containers can be collected from the output slots.

About This Port

Deep Dark Dimension is a port and native Fabric recreation of Arda’s Sculks.

The original project introduced its expanded Ancient City, portal system, Sculk dimension content, bosses, creatures, custom materials, equipment and other concepts.

This version has been rebuilt for:

while preserving the content and identity of the original project.
