# Deadfall Apocalypse

A zombie apocalypse survival mod for Fabric. Forget “just more zombies” — Deadfall Apocalypse changes the way you have to survive.

## Core Systems

**Staged Infection**
A bite or scratch from the infected raises your infection level over time. As it climbs, symptoms get worse: hunger, nausea, weakness, blindness — up to collapse.

**Wounds**
Bleeding, fractures, and infected wounds. Treat them with Bandages, Splints, Antiseptic, and Antibiotics, craftable from simple materials.

**Temperature**
Cold biomes and rain lower your body temperature; deserts and badlands raise it. Extreme cold or heat causes slowness, fatigue, and damage.

**Blood Moon & Hordes**
Every 7 days, a Blood Moon awakens more aggressive hordes.

**Special Infected**
– **Screamer** — calls a horde when it spots you
– **Bloater** — releases a contaminated cloud on death
– **Brute** — high resistance and strength, causes fractures
– **Nightstalker** — becomes stealthier and more dangerous at night
– **Runner / Feral / Tank** — classic speed and strength variants

**Infected Animals**
Wolves, horses, sheep, and spiders can also become infected and attack.

**Corpses**
Killed zombies leave temporary bodies on the ground.

**Barricades**
Barricade Plank and Reinforced Barricade to protect your base.

**Water**
Purify water or build a Water Filter using charcoal, sand, and gravel.

**Day-Based Progression**
Difficulty escalates in stages as days pass, bringing more dangerous infected and more frequent events over time.
