Custom Cape

Custom Cape is a client-side mod that lets you wear any bundled official cape—or your own 64×32 custom cape—without changing your Mojang account.

Capes are client-side only. They are not synced to the server and will not be visible to players who do not have the mod installed.

Custom Capes

Custom cape textures must be:

• 64×32 PNG files
• Using the standard Minecraft cape UV layout
• Compatible with the same layout used by SkinMC and official Minecraft cape files

Getting Started

Launch the game with Custom Cape installed once. The mod will create the following files and folders:

config/
└── customcape/
    ├── cape_template.png
    ├── custom/
    └── README.txt

Creating a Custom Cape

1. Open config/customcape/cape_template.png.
2. Make a copy of the template and edit it with your preferred image editor.
3. Keep the image at exactly 64×32 pixels.
4. Save your finished cape as a PNG, for example:

   config/customcape/custom/my_cape.png

1. In Minecraft, select Reload Custom Capes from the menu, or run:

   /customcape reload

1. Select your cape under Custom Capes.
