# Create: Overclocked

**Push your Create machines past their limits — if you dare.**

Create: Overclocked is a small addon for [Create](https://modrinth.com/mod/create) built around one idea: *kinetic overload*. Make your contraptions spin faster than they normally would, at the price of a lot more stress. More output, more danger.

## ⚙️ Overclock Governor

A brass-cased block that sits in line with a shaft, like a Gearshift.

– One side receives rotation, and the **other side outputs it multiplied by x2, x3 or x4**.

– **Scroll on the side of the block** to choose the multiplier, the same way you set a Rotation Speed Controller.

– It works with Create’s own stress system. Faster machines downstream already use more stress, and **the Governor adds its own load, which grows exponentially** with the multiplier:

– **It never breaks itself.** Create breaks any block that spins faster than the maximum rotation speed (256 RPM by default). The Governor automatically lowers the multiplier so the output stays at or below that limit.

*Example: 100 RPM in at x4 gives 200 RPM out (x2), because 400 would be too fast.*

## 🔧 Configuration

All values live in the **server config**, `serverconfig/createoverclocked-server.toml` in your world folder:

## 🗺️ Roadmap

This is an early release. Coming next:

– **Coolant Canister:** an item you put into the Governor to lower the overheat risk for a while.

– **Overheat:** if the network stays overstressed for too long, the Governor starts smoking, shakes, and eventually bursts into scrap.

– **Heat gauge:** with Engineer’s Goggles on, see how hot the Governor is.

– Crafting recipes using Create materials (brass, cogwheels…) and custom textures.

> ⚠️ **Version 0.1.0:** the Governor has **no crafting recipe yet**, so you can only get it from the creative tab. It also uses a placeholder model.

– Minecraft **1.20.1**

– **Forge 47.1.3+**, or **NeoForge for 1.20.1**

– **Create 6.0.8+** for 1.20.1

Install the mod on **both the client and the server**.
