Conflict Resolution

Keep the peace: turn PvP on or off, and protect pets from other players, with one click.

FEATURES

PvP off

• Players can’t hurt each other. That includes arrows, tridents, TNT they lit, thrown potions and their pets.

Protect pets

• Players (and their pets) can’t hurt other players’ tamed animals.

Protect own pets (off by default)

• Owners can’t hurt their own pets either: no more accidental hits.

Good to know

• Damage with no attacker attached isn’t blocked (lava or fire someone placed, poison that is already ticking).
• Changes are announced in chat. A blocked attack shows a short message to the attacker.
• Settings are saved per world. New worlds start with PvP off and pets protected.

COMMANDS

/cr                  Open the settings screen (needs the mod on your client).
/pvp                Show the current settings.
/pvp on|off        Turn PvP on or off.
/pvp pets on|off    Protect other players' pets.
/pvp ownpets on|off Protect your own pets from you.

Changing settings: operators, or the host of a singleplayer/LAN world.

SETTINGS

Saved per world. Change them with /cr or /pvp.

• PvP                 off    Players can hurt each other.
• Protect pets      on     Other players’ pets can’t be hurt.
• Protect own pets  off    Your own pets can’t be hurt by you.

HQ COMPATIBILITY

With HQ installed, a “Conflict Resolution” button in the HQ list opens /cr.

Without HQ the mod works exactly the same.

COMPATIBILITY & NOTES

• Works with pets tamed the vanilla way and with Tameful pets.
