What is Charcoal?

Charcoal is a mod that allows using almost every flammable block / item as furnace fuel. For example, Rotten Flesh is now a fuel and lasts for 100 ticks (5 seconds, half of smelting operation). Vanilla fuels are tweaked and balanced to last longer / shorter.

What’s its point?

The point of Charcoal is to expand the list of fuels in Minecraft. It is useful for a server, as resources are usually rare there.

Is Charcoal balanced?

I tried to make it as balanced as possible, but if you think something is wrong, feel free to suggest your opinions.

Can I use Charcoal in a server / modpack?

Yes, it is compatible with other mods and you can install it on server side. Just remember to credit me.

Does it add new items / blocks / etc?

Right now, no. In future, something new can be added.

Charcoal 支持 Minecraft Java 版 1.12–1.12.1，共 2 个版本，可用的加载器：Forge。下载时注意选择和你游戏版本一致的文件。

Charcoal 怎么安装？

先用 PCL2 或 HMCL 启动器安装对应版本的 Forge，再把下载的 .jar 文件放进游戏目录的 mods 文件夹，重新启动游戏即可。开启了版本隔离的，mods 文件夹在 versions/版本名下面。
