介绍

🎇 Welcome to Cardinalia
Did you ever want two new ores? Did you want Netherite upgrades, each focused on a specific use? Did you want alloys? New structures focused on Overworld exploration? A new boss? Then Cardinalia will be right up your alley!
This mod adds two normal ores, Cobalt and Ruby, as well as four different alloys, each with different uses. There’s even a fully decorative alloy! Moreover, there are a few new mobs, some useful tools and trinkets, and three different structures to seek out.
Without further ado, let me show you what Cardinalia has to offer!
💠 Basic Ores

First of all, here’s Cobalt! It is a midpoint between Iron and Diamond, providing high enchantability and durability at the cost of being unupgradeable. Cobalt armor also provides some resistance.

Then there’s Ruby, which tools are faster and stronger than Diamond tools, but cannot be upgraded either.
Since these ores are freely available throughout the Overworld, and can appear as loot throughout the structures added by this mod, they will accompany the players for some time. Moreover, if you are a mod creator and wish these ores to spawn in your biomes, add the #c:cardinalia_ore_spawning tag to them!
🗽 Verdigris

Verdigris can be scraped off fully oxidized (not waxed) Copper blocks with a Razor, fully restoring them to their unoxidized state. You’ll be able to use Verdigris to craft Oxidant (oxidizes basic Copper blocks) and some Bonding Agent, which you’ll need to craft alloys.
And yes, the Statue of Liberty is technically covered in it. That’s why it’s the icon here.
⚙️ Alloys

The first of these alloys is Nether Alacrite, an alloy of Cobalt and Netherite. Its tools are more efficient than Golden tools and its armor grants the player Speed and Haste.

The second alloy is Nether Bronze, an alloy of Copper and Netherite. Its tools and weapons are stronger, and its armor grants Strenght to its wearer.

The third alloy is Nether Steel, an alloy of Iron and Netherite. Its tools have increased durability and its armor grants its wearer Resistance and Fire Resistance.

The final alloy is Wrought Iron, an alloy of Coal and Iron. It’s fully decorative, allowing the player to make full blocks, doors, trapdoors, pressure plates, fences and ladders. By the way, these ladders don’t need a supporting block!
All tool/armor ores require a special Upgrade template in order to upgrade them from Netherite to the desired tier. Don’t worry, it’s craftable… as well as the vanilla Netherite Upgrade!
🌟 Ancient Fragments

By breaking Spawners with a pickaxe enchanted with Silk Touch, they drop a tiny shard known as an Ancient Fragment. These shards can be used to either craft a powerful armor set (with the help of some Bonding Agent) or an artifact known as the Ancient Heart. By consuming it, the player gains an additional heart.
🧱 Structures

This mod adds three structures: the Hero’s Grave, the Mage’s Tower and the Evergaol. As shown in the image above, one structure leads to the next through maps! Of course, you can stumble into each structure simply by wandering about, but these maps will help if you seek to find a specific one. As for mod creators, if you wish to have these structures spawn in your modded biome, they spawn in all biomes with the #minecraft:stronghold_biased_to tag!
But back on track… Why would you want to seek the Evergaol?
🌗 Friends and Foes
Because the Ancient Hero awaits you there! Well, him and the Sage, a powerful villager with equally as powerful trades.
Oh, and the Halcyon Spider is also there. It wanders about, peacefully, and you can take some string from it without killing it by using a Razor! Pretty nifty, huh?
⚜️ Other Additions
You can brew two new potions: Shrinking, which makes entities half as tall, and Weightlessness, which reduces gravity and fall damage.
You also get these cool additions:
- Receptacle, a large stone chest
- Heliograph, a magic table which removes Curses from an item at the cost of one whole heart
- Hero’s Heliograph, which is used to summon the Ancient Hero
- Rain Tablet, a trinket found in the Mage’s Tower which… I think the name says it all
- Hiking Boots, a pair of shoes made for ease of travel
- Hero’s Emblem, dropped by Shades, used to summon the Hero. Oh, and it can be used as Piglin currency too!
- And a new music disc, A Languished Reverie, made by yours truly
And to top it all off, I remade the Chainmail armor texture AND gave them a crafting recipe!
🤍 FAQ and Special Thanks
So… Can you add this to a modpack? Of course you can! Just don’t steal this mod and act as if it’s yours, even if it’s not the most original idea I worked really hard on it.
Does this mod use GenAI? Noooooooo. Hard no. No part of the process of making this mod involves GenAI. I refuse to use it.
And now, for special thanks:
Keep in mind, I’ve only interacted with one of these people before, my thanks doesn’t mean they know me!
- First, I have to thank Klei and Matcha Flavoured, since this datapack helped me steer the Ancient Fragments section of this mod in the right direction.
- Then, to the creator of the Boots of the Traveler from Thaumcraft. Best modded item ever in my opinion.
- And finally, to Mike. Thanks for dealing with my persistent messages about this mod, it really helped with a ton of parts I was struggling with. Go support him HERE if you speak Spanish!
