Manual movement for Freerunner
A small client-side companion for Freerunner 1.2.0 on Minecraft 1.21.1 Fabric, created for Calm Journeys. It disables automatic obstacle vaulting, automatic ledge grabs and straight-up wall climbing.
Kept: sprint slides, side wall runs, wall jumps, double jumps, rolls, flips and deliberate manual ledge grabs. Manual grabs still use the Freerunner grab key; climbing from a deliberately grabbed ledge remains possible.
The addon does not edit configuration files or change damage values. Freerunner still controls its own movement and fall protection. Double-jump timing, camera effects and animations remain adjustable in Freerunner settings.
Installation
Install Fabric Loader 0.19.5 or later, Java 21 and the original Freerunner 1.2.0+1.21.1, then place this addon in the client mods folder. For multiplayer, follow Freerunner’s requirements and install Freerunner on clients and the server. This companion itself is client-only. Other Freerunner versions are intentionally not supported.
Source and license
Original companion code is MIT licensed. The downloadable JAR includes its Java sources under sources/ and the license. The original Freerunner mod is a required dependency and is not bundled or modified.
Tested in the owner’s local Calm Journeys profile. Logo reused from Calm Journeys; its original artwork was AI-generated.
