Bloodlines – Become a Vampire or Werewolf

In Bloodlines, become a vampire or a werewolf, and survive as such!

This mod is inspired by Vampirism and the Werewolves add-on for it, but made for version 1.21.1 on Fabric.

VAMPIRES

Vampires must feed off blood, as normal food is indigestible to them. If you craft a Vampire Dagger, any blood it retains from your victims may be licked right off it, or you can store it into a bottle for future use. Of course, you could just suck the blood from a living creature with sneak+right click.

Don’t forget that the sunlight is your enemy! Without the proper protection, such as a wide brim hat in various varieties for your style, you will be set aflame.

Be cautious when travelling, unholy being, as your deeds are known. Vampire hunters occasionally spawn nearby vampires, and won’t give up the chase until either party is dead… Well, that’s not true. They can still be outrun.

A vampire’s most valuable power is the ability to transform into a bat! With the B key (by default) you can take the likeness of a bat, which makes you smaller, faster, and able to fly. You cannot fly indefinitely, however, as flight uses up energy!

WEREWOLVES

By day, a werewolf looks just like any other human, but when the moon rises in the sky, they transform into canine beasts!

Speed along the ground and leap among cliffs and treetops—your werewolf form provides major boosts to speed, durability, strength, etc.

Also, you can howl with the H key (by default)!

You are not exempt from dangers, though, as hunters also follow your tracks… Use your wits and speed to evade their crossbows and swords.

HUMANS

Purify yourself of your curse, or never heed to the temptations, and join the hunt against vampires and werewolves.

(Currently there are no naturally spawning vampires or werewolves. If you guys really want this then I’ll try adding that, though.)

To become a vampire, simply make a Vampire Dagger and fully fill it with blood, deposit it into a bottle, and add a fermented spider eye and nether wart. To become a werewolf, make a bottle of blood and add a bone. A crucifix to purify yourself of your curse can be made from two wooden planks on top and bottom of redstone dust, two sticks on either side, and a chain in the bottom corner, or found from a slain hunter.
