Block 7: Survival & Skills

Survival & Skills adds hydration, water quality, climate and stamina to the daily demands of staying alive. Equipment, supplies and the conditions outside affect how you prepare for a longer trip. Character condition, equipment and progression are presented together in the survival inventory and management screens.

Weapons and armor have quality tiers and modifications, while books, knowledge and guided challenges open up progression. The skill tree is included in the same download; there is no separate Skill Tree JAR to install. It shares its server-side systems with Block 7: Core and can work with the related world, zombie and loot modules.

Requires Block 7: Core.

Controls

• B: use Survivor Sense to search your surroundings.
• Tab: open the character and survival inventory menu.

These are the default bindings. You can change them under Options → Controls.

This is a playable alpha under active development.

Optional integrations

• Block 7: Wasteland World: Apply the calibrated survival profiles for the world’s biomes and share character skill ranks with its progression systems.
• Block 7: Zombie Hordes & Blood Moon: Let the zombie systems read the character’s skill ranks for their supported progression effects.
• Block 7: Gameplay Expansion: Its included Animated Looting component applies your character’s search-skill ranks to the supported furniture-search bonuses.

Survival & Skills ergänzt Durst, Wasserqualität, Klima und Ausdauer als feste Bestandteile des Überlebens. Ausrüstung, Vorräte und äußere Bedingungen bestimmen die Vorbereitung auf längere Wege. Zustand, Ausrüstung und Fortschritt der Figur werden im Überlebensinventar und den zugehörigen Menüs zusammengeführt.

Waffen und Rüstung besitzen Qualitätsstufen und lassen sich modifizieren. Bücher, Wissen und geführte Herausforderungen gehören ebenso zur Entwicklung der Figur. Der Fertigkeitenbaum steckt bereits in diesem Download; eine zusätzliche Skill-Tree-JAR ist nicht nötig. Das System baut auf Block 7: Core auf und arbeitet mit den verwandten Welt-, Zombie- und Beutemodulen zusammen.

Optionale Erweiterungen

• Block 7: Wasteland World: Nutze die abgestimmten Überlebensprofile für die Biome der Welt und übergib Fertigkeitsränge an ihre Fortschrittssysteme.
• Block 7: Zombie Hordes & Blood Moon: Lass die Zombiesysteme die Fertigkeitsränge der Figur für ihre unterstützten Fortschrittseffekte auslesen.
• Block 7: Gameplay Expansion: Die enthaltene Animated-Looting-Komponente wendet die Suchfertigkeiten der Figur auf die unterstützten Boni beim Durchsuchen von Möbeln an.
