Blighted Forge

Blighted Forge turns every anvil into a forge where you roll random stats onto your gear. It was made for the Blighted Dreams modpack and works in any NeoForge 1.21.1 pack.

How it works

• Shift + right-click an anvil, or click the hammer in the anvil screen, to open the Forge.
• Put any weapon, armor piece, shield, bow, tool, spellbook or Curios trinket on the pedestal, add an Essence and press Forge.
• Every forge re-rolls your item’s affixes using stats from every mod you have installed (Apotheosis, Iron’s Spells, Cataclysm, Artifacts and more).
• Pickaxes, shovels, hoes, shears and fishing rods roll tool and survival stats, not combat ones.

The Gamble

• Every forge also tries to open a new affix slot. Slots 1 and 2 always open, then the odds are 50%, 20%, 5%, 1%, 0.25% and 0.05% for the 8th.
• You never lose a slot. Your affixes are re-rolled, never destroyed.
• Each failed attempt adds a failstack that raises your next chance.

Essences

• 7 tiers: Common, Uncommon, Rare, Very Rare, Epic, Legendary and Godly. Higher tiers roll stronger stats and better slot odds.
• Anchor Essence locks all your affixes and only tries for a new slot.
• Seal Essence locks one affix you choose.
• Focus Essences make every roll come from one stat family:
• Blade: melee
• Hunter’s: ranged
• Arcane: magic
• Bulwark: defense
• Delver’s: tools (mining speed, reach)
• Wayfarer’s: survival (swim speed, safe fall, step height)

Where essences come from
With Dungeon Difficulty installed, essences drop only inside levelled structures. The higher the dungeon’s level, the better the essence.

The stat pool, odds, drop rates and essence tiers are all in config/blighted_forge/.
