Adds expressive animations to Minecraft players, including first-person arm and camera animations when supported by the animation.
Features
– Landing after falling 5 blocks or more
– Idle animation
– Creative flight animations for stationary and moving players
– Ladder climbing and standing still on a ladder
– Eating and drinking
– Freezing and death
– Unarmed punches and sword attack combos
Custom modded weapons
Add a weapon’s item ID to config/betterplayanimation-swords.txt to use the sword attack animations with it. Items with “sword” in their ID or display name are detected automatically.
Compatibility
– Minecraft 1.20.1: Forge 47.4.10+ or Fabric Loader 0.15.11+ with Fabric API
– Minecraft 1.20.4: Forge 49.2.3+
– Minecraft 1.21.1: Forge 52.1.20+
Java 17 is required for Minecraft 1.20.1 and 1.20.4. Java 21 is required for Minecraft 1.21.1.
Client-side mod. No server-side installation, GeckoLib, or other animation library is required. Download the file that matches your Minecraft version and mod loader.
