Better Loyalty

Better Loyalty overhauls the Loyalty enchantment and fills your adventures with divine weapons: bind a thrown weapon to yourself, recall it from anywhere in the same dimension, prove your worth at a lightning altar, and face a spear-wielding boss guarding a hidden temple.

Requires Minecraft Java 1.20.1 with Forge 47.x. Must be installed on both the client and the server. Built-in languages: English / Simplified Chinese.

Loyalty, but better

• Craft a Heart of the Sea Template, then upgrade a Loyalty IV trident with a Netherite Ingot.
• Upgraded weapons bind to their owner (player UUID): only you can pick them up, and you can recall them remotely from anywhere in the same dimension, even empty-handed.
• A weapon left on the ground for too long becomes buried — no recall until you find it and pull it out yourself. A Pathfinder Compass points the way.

Mjölnir — worthiness and thunder power

• A rare thunder altar generates in the world. Find it with the altar compass and survive its lightning trial to lift the hammer Mjölnir.
• Charge-throw with guided lock-on: the first key press opens a targeting session, and the hammer flies a rising arc onto the target’s shoulders, tracking it mid-flight.
• Ride the hammer with thunder-powered flight; charge a wide-radius thunderstorm; slam down with shockwaves.
• The Thunder Power effect grants extra health and damage, a stacking-independent 20% damage reduction, chain lightning on combos and dive impact waves.

Brionac — the sun spear

• Forged with the Sun Template. Multi-target throws, automatic target selection, and a fully-charged 96-block solar beam.
• Held in the hotbar, its Radiant Guardian counter-strikes attackers with echo copies of the spear.

Three-Pointed Double-Edged Spear & the Erwang Temple

• Erlang Shen’s spear: armor-piercing melee and thrown damage, auto-lock within 48 blocks, and Ten Thousand Swords — every sword in your hotbar fires a one-hit echo clone that keeps its own look, stats and enchantments (real swords are never consumed).
• The Erwang Temple spawns extremely rarely in the Overworld (temples are at least 10,000 blocks apart). Right-click the spear on the central pedestal to awaken its boss: 450 HP, heavy armor, full knockback resistance, two phases and eight distinct attacks including dash thrusts, crescent blasts, a five-hit combo, thunder spin-slam and a sword-rain barrage.
• Defeat it and the spear falls to the ground as a physical weapon you can pick up.

The four legendary swords

All four display themselves on your body (back scabbard / waist mount) while in the hotbar, and follow the owner-binding rules of upgraded Loyalty.

Modpacks, servers and config

• Multiplayer-friendly: ownership is UUID-based and validated server-side.
• Every damage value and cooldown lives in a config file, with safe auto-migration from old defaults.
• Better Combat (optional): weapons automatically use proper spear / glaive / hammer / rapier animations.
• Enigmatic Legacy (optional) supported; third-party disenchanting tables and GUI-dropped items are handled safely.
• License (MIT): free to use, modify, distribute and include this mod in any modpack, including commercially, as long as the copyright notice and license text are retained. No separate permission is needed.
