Overview

Add dramatic player teleportation with cinematic effects to your Minecraft server! The Banish Command mod allows players to teleport themselves (or admins to teleport others) with a countdown, lightning strike, thunder sound, and broadcast messages visible to all players.

Lightning Strike Visual – A cosmetic lightning bolt strikes the player before teleportation
Thunder Sound – All players hear the thunder, creating server-wide awareness
Countdown System – Configurable countdown with alternating note block sounds
Broadcast Messages – All players see countdown messages and final banishment announcement
Safe Teleportation – Intelligent position finder ensures players land safely (avoids lava, water, and suffocation)

🎮 Commands

Player Commands:

/banish me – Start your own banishment countdown
/banish cancel – Cancel your own active banishment

Admin Commands (OP Level 2):

/banish <player> – Banish another player
/banish cancel <player> – Cancel another player’s banishment
/banish config <option> <value> – Configure mod settings

⚙️ Configuration Options

Use /banish config <option> <value> to customize:

MINDISTANCE AND MAXDISTANCE CANNOT BE THE SAME!

🔧 Technical Details

Thread-Safe – Countdown runs on background thread with server-thread callbacks
Duplicate Prevention – Players can’t have multiple active countdowns
Clean Cancellation – Countdowns can be interrupted safely
Persistent Config – Settings saved to config/banishcommand.properties
Smart Position Finding – Top-down and bottom-up scanning for safe landing spots
Game Mode Override – Banished players are always set to Survival mode

🚀 Installation

Download the mod JAR file
Place it in your server’s mods folder
Start/restart your server
Configure using /banish config commands
Grant OP permission (level 2) to trusted admins

⚠️ Permissions

Level 0 (All Players): /banish me, /banish cancel
Level 2 (Operators): /banish <player>, /banish cancel <player>, /banish config

🎨 Customization Examples

Quick Banishment:

/banish config countdown 3

Random Spawn Area:

/banish config userandom true
/banish config mindistance 10000
/banish config maxdistance 20000

Frequent Countdown Beeps:

/banish config noteinterval 250

Dramatic Sound Effects:

/banish config highpitch 0.6
/banish config lowpitch 0.5

This gives a dramtic tone ^

🐛 Debug Mode

Enable debug logging to troubleshoot teleportation issues:

/banish config debug true

This will log:

Configured min/max distances
Calculated random offsets
Final teleport coordinates
Distance from center point

📝 Config File

Settings are automatically saved to config/banishcommand.properties and persist across server restarts.

💡 Tips

Set countdown 0 for instant teleportation
Use random offset to prevent spawn camping at banishment location
Adjust note interval for faster/slower countdown audio
Test teleport locations in creative mode first
Enable debug mode when setting up random spawn areas
