Avali Nexus

Avali Nexus adds the Avali to Minecraft, the nomadic space chickens with all there tech. You’ll explore their frozen biome, find their camps and villages, and get your hands on some of their gear to survive the cold.

The Avali

Avalis live in packs, each one has its own name, look and mood. When you talk to one you get a small dialogue overlay (Like CP77) on the side of the screen, not a big menu covering everything.

They fight, run away when it goes bad, sleep, play music together, and even form couples and have babies. You can recruit some of them as companions too (fighter, gatherer or healer).

Each pack remembers what you did to them. Trade with them and help them out and they’ll like you more, hit them or steal from them and it’s the opposite, they can even end up attacking you on sight.

Camps and villages

Nomad camps are small, just a few tents in the snow. Villages are way bigger with houses, workshops, fields and archives. Every Avali has a job and sells different stuff depending on it, and you unlock better trades with more
reputation. Stealing from their chests or fields when one of them is looking is a bad idea.

The polar taiga

A really cold biome, kind of like a snowy taiga but way more extreme, with alot of snow and blizzards. Without warm gear you slowly freeze out there. The caves under it are frozen too and there’s lakes of ammonia.

The Avalon plants grow there as well (Piru, Nakati and Kiri). They don’t need any light to grow and you can cook Avali food with them, the spiced stew keeps you warm for 3 minutes.

Gear, blocks and machines

• Nexite tools and armor, between diamond and netherite (there’s even horse armor)
• Aerotech blades and rail guns (pistol, carbine, assault rifle, shotgun, sniper) that shoot Nexite quills from magazines
• Lots of building blocks: graphene, aerogel glass in every color, nanocanvas, ice bricks, lamps, curtains, tapestries…
• Ammonia, coolant and fuel that you move with graphene pipes and pumps, plus the machines that use them (refinery, cryo freezer, graphene press, weapon workbench) and a heater

Requirements

Most of the Avali behavior is in JSON files so you can change it with a datapack, then use /avalinexus reload.
