Arsi’s Particles

Your world, finally alive. Arsi’s Particles is a client-side Fabric mod that fills Minecraft with hundreds of animated ambient details, in every dimension. It only adds particles: no new blocks, no entities, no changes to your world, and no server install needed.

What it adds

Trees and wind

• Falling leaves in the real color of each tree, including trees from biome mods
• Waves of wind that carry leaves, sand or snow, plus whirlwinds and tumbleweeds

Animated 3D wildlife, all ambient

• Butterflies, moths, bees, dragonflies, ladybugs, ants and fireflies
• Bugs walk on the ground and run away when you break blocks near them
• Birds, gulls and bats that keep their distance
• Rare spiders hanging from trees, and many more in caves

Water

• Fish, jellyfish, octopuses, manta rays, turtles, crabs and frogs
• Bubbles, drifting kelp, rain ripples and waterfall spray

Storms

• Sudden gusts that fill the screen for a moment, then calm down
• Sandstorms in deserts and badlands, blizzards in snowy biomes, fire storms in the Nether
• Blue soul storms in Soul Sand Valley and ash in Basalt Deltas

Nether and End

• 3D ghosts and animated pixel-art spirits, souls, embers and lava sparks
• Floating crystals and motes in the End

More

• Realistic rain texture, shooting stars, low fog, light rays, campfire smoke and dust in caves

Compatibility

• Biome mods: leaf colors are read from each block, so no per-mod list is needed. Checked with Biomes O’ Plenty and Oh The Biomes We’ve Gone.
• Performance and shaders: used alongside Sodium, Iris, Lithium and ImmediatelyFast. It has no mixins, so it rarely conflicts with other mods.
• Particle cap: the mod keeps a limit on its live particles (900 by default, more during storms).

Settings

Open config/ambientevivo.json to change the density and the particle cap, or to turn any effect off. For example, set "rafagas": false to disable gusts and storms.
