An unofficial Attack on Titan-inspired gameplay mod for Minecraft Java 1.21.1 and NeoForge. Discover a family bloodline, gain passive bonuses, and explore with craftable, gas-powered ODM gear.

Bloodlines

A selection screen opens when a player first joins a world. Players receive one initial weighted roll and up to three re-rolls. Each re-roll replaces the previous result; keeping a result or making the fourth roll locks the choice. Bloodlines and roll counts are saved per player and world.

• No Bloodline — 40%: normal Minecraft stats.
• Azumabito — 25%: faster mining and increased block interaction reach.
• Yeager — 18%: increased movement speed and bonus attack damage at low health.
• Tybur — 10%: extra armour and armour toughness.
• Fritz — 5%: four extra maximum hearts and knockback resistance.
• Ackerman — 2%: increased movement speed, attack damage and attack speed, plus reduced fall damage.

These bonuses are original gameplay interpretations. Family selection does not currently grant Titan transformation powers.

ODM gear

Craft a harness and gas canisters. Aim at solid blocks within 48 blocks to attach left and right hooks. Attached hooks reel the player toward their anchors; two hooks pull toward their midpoint. Use a gas boost to accelerate in the direction you are looking.

Equip the harness in the Curios Belt slot to keep your chestplate equipped. The Back slot remains available for a compatible backpack. The chest armour slot remains supported as an alternative.

Default controls, configurable in Minecraft’s key bindings:

• G: open Curios equipment slots.
• Z / X: fire or detach the left / right hook.
• C: release both hooks.
• Hold V: gas boost.
• R: refill the tank using a carried Gas Canister.

A gas meter, item tooltips, crafting recipes and a basic wearable harness model are included. Using powered movement provides a short landing grace period; ordinary falls can still cause damage. Complete bloodline selection before using ODM gear.

Requirements and compatibility

• Minecraft Java 1.21.1.
• NeoForge 21.1.265 or newer in the 21.1 series.
• Curios API 9.5.1+1.21.1 or a compatible 9.x release.
• Install this mod and Curios on both the client and server for multiplayer.

Sophisticated Backpacks is optional and supplies the backpack shown in the equipment integration test; this mod does not add a backpack itself. Do not install the older Forge builds of Paths of Blood or ODM Gear alongside this NeoForge version. One JAR contains both AOT components.

Current scope

This is an early gameplay build. It does not yet add Titans, Titan shifting, blades, advanced character animations or fuel machinery. Hooks attach instantly to blocks and do not attach to mobs. Movement balance, multiplayer behaviour and visual polish are still being tested. Dedicated servers may need their flight allowance configured for sustained ODM movement.

The build, full mod-set client loading, and an automated equipment test passed. That test verifies chest armour, belt-mounted ODM gear and a Sophisticated Backpack coexist, that removing the belt gear disables ODM equipment detection, and that gas survives item saving and loading. Full NeoForge flight, the visible belt harness and a complete player death/rejoin cycle have not yet been verified in live gameplay. Try a new test world first.
