Idle hoppers sleep instead of checking for items every tick, which means less lag in big farms and storage systems.
How it works
If a hopper can’t move anything, it waits a few ticks (up to 8) before trying again. It wakes up instantly when its inventory changes.

Note
Items dropped onto a sleeping hopper can take up to 0.4 s longer to get picked up. If you already use Lithium, you probably don’t need this.
