AnimalX: Christmas Hats

Every mob gets a Christmas hat. Hunt them to win the hat.

Pigs, cows, creepers, villagers and every other vanilla mob wear a real 3D Christmas hat. Kill one and it may drop the hat it wears, ready for your own head.

Hat Hunt

• Win hats: a mob drops the hat it wears 5 % of the time (+1 % per Looting level). Bosses drop theirs 25 % of the time.
• Wear them: every hat goes on your head like a helmet, with no armour, lights and swing included.
• Christmas Presents: mobs in the Gift Box hat always drop one. Open it for treats, and sometimes a hat.
• No recipes: hats come only from hunting and presents.

Ten hats, five with lights

Santa Hat, Elf Hat, Christmas Tree Hat, Reindeer Antlers, Top Hat with Holly, Candle Crown, Star Boppers, Gift Box, Snow Crown and Light-Up Antlers. Every hat is real 3D with our own textures, fitted to every head, from a chicken to the Warden. Lights glow and twinkle at night.

Snow and breath

Snowflakes drift in cold places (and everywhere from Dec 1 to Jan 6), and mobs puff breath clouds. Only particles: the weather never changes.

Compatibility

On a vanilla server the mod works on your client alone and dresses every mob and player, as in 1.0.0. Singleplayer and servers with the mod play Hat Hunt; there, every player needs version 1.1.0.

Settings

Open them with /animalx_christmas or a key: hats always, only Dec 1 to Jan 6, or off; which mobs; each style; lights; snow and breath. Server owners can change the drop chances and turn drops or Presents off in config/hats_server.json.
