Ancient Terrain
Over-engineered infinite terrain generator for the oldest version of Minecraft rd-132211

介绍
What if you take Minecraft rd-132211 and give it an infinite world with simple caves?
Well… you get this: infinite chunks and RubyDung-style (sorta) mountains.
It retains the wonderfully primitive green-and-cobblestone appearance of the original game.
Why?
Because I want to :p, there’s just something so funny about taking the oldest version of the game and turning it to have very simple infinite world. I also watched this video “https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MHUKCskoooI” which is really cool in my opinion and I wanted to see if you could implement infinite terrain on it!
Performance
It might or might not lag, but thanks to LOD rendering and several optimizations, it can be pushed to extremely long render distances.
Installation
Add the agent JAR to an rd-132211 instance using this JVM argument:
-javaagent:/absolute/path/to/ancient-terrain-agent.jar
Java 8 or newer is required.
Alternatively, use Prism Launcher, which is arguably more simpler. Select your rd-132211 instance, click Add Agents, and add the JAR. That’s it!
Configuration
Place configuration options alongside the -javaagent argument:
-Drd132211.terrain.seed=132211
-Drd132211.terrain.world=my-world
-Drd132211.terrain.caves=true
-Drd132211.terrain.preset=normal
-Drd132211.terrain.worldHeight=192
-Drd132211.terrain.renderDistance=4096
-Drd132211.terrain.fog=true
-Drd132211.terrain.fogColor=80CCFF
Available terrain presets are normal and amplified. Seeds may be numbers or arbitrary text. Different world names create separate save slots without touching vanilla level.dat.
Mountain options
-Drd132211.terrain.megaMountains=true
-Drd132211.terrain.megaMountainSpacing=2048
-Drd132211.terrain.megaMountainChance=0.03
-Drd132211.terrain.faithfulMountainLift=0.12
-Drd132211.terrain.mountainHorizonDistance=1400
Performance and LOD options
-Drd132211.terrain.fullDetailDistance=112
-Drd132211.terrain.lodStart=160
-Drd132211.terrain.lodStep=2
-Drd132211.terrain.ultraLodStart=768
-Drd132211.terrain.ultraLodStep=8
-Drd132211.terrain.chunkLoadsPerFrame=32
-Drd132211.terrain.rebuildBudget=64
-Drd132211.terrain.lodBuildsPerFrame=2
-Drd132211.terrain.ultraTilesPerFrame=64
-Drd132211.terrain.ultraLodBuildsPerFrame=4
Lower loading and build values reduce frame-time spikes but make terrain appear more slowly. Larger LOD steps improve performance at the cost of distant accuracy.
For an absurd render distance, try:
-Drd132211.terrain.renderDistance=4096
-Drd132211.terrain.fullDetailDistance=112
-Drd132211.terrain.lodStart=160
-Drd132211.terrain.ultraLodStart=768
-Drd132211.terrain.ultraLodStep=8
Render distances up to 16384 are accepted.
Compatibility
Ancient Terrain specifically targets the rd-132211 class layout. Other Minecraft versions are not supported. Compatibility with other mods depends on whether they transform the same game classes.
Extreme render distances are genuinely extreme. Adjust the LOD and streaming options if your computer begins to burn.
Some Quirk
Placing a block directly above a green terrain block cause the covered block to appear as cobblestone. This is only a visual texture change.
