**AmongCraft turns any Minecraft server into a full Among Us game.**

Build your spaceship, place the consoles, press start: roles are dealt, tasks light up, and somewhere in the corridors an impostor is already waiting for the lights to go out.

Works with your favourite proximity voice chat mod. NeoForge 1.21.1.

### 🚀 What you get

– **Roles** — Crewmates finish tasks, Impostors kill and sabotage. Ghosts keep working, invisible and silent.

– **13 task mini-games** — wiring, Simon, access code, download, calibration, sample sorting, asteroids, card swipe, fuel, manifolds, switches, medical scan (you glow, everyone sees you!) and steady-hand navigation.

– **Task stages** — tasks unlock in stages; the next stage opens only when the whole crew is done. Nobody rushes alone.

– **3 difficulties** — easy, normal, hard. Hard means 8-digit codes that vanish, 24 asteroids, six wires… and later stages get even harder.

– **Fail consequences** — miss a task and pay for it: sparks, blackouts, alarms that reveal you, a reactor meltdown that costs the whole crew a task.

– **Impostor kit** — kill on the spot (a body stays behind), invert controls, engine failure with screen shake, freeze, heaviness, cross-teleport the crew, flip their screen.

– **Crises to repair** — power outage (vision cut to a few blocks until the switches are back on), reactor meltdown (two players must hold the consoles together), oxygen leak (type the code on both O2 consoles). Fail in time and the impostors win.

– **Meetings** — emergency button and body reports, players gather in a particle circle, discussion then vote screen, ejection with optional role reveal.

– **Visual FX engine** — holograms over your consoles, red columns on crisis stations, death markers with the victim’s name written on the floor, ground cracks and sparks on failures, screen vignettes for every sabotage, camera shake. Distance LOD and a client config to tune everything.

– **Dedicated blocks** — one console block per task, three crisis consoles and an emergency button that register themselves when placed. No commands needed to build a ship.

– **Everything is saved in the world** — share the world folder and the whole ship comes with it.

### 🔊 Voice chat

AmongCraft does not ship a voice chat. Use your favourite proximity voice mod: ghosts are placed in the `ac_ghost` scoreboard team so any voice mod can mute them for the living, and a small Java API (`fr.amongcraft.api.AmongCraftAPI`) exposes the game state.

## Map setup tutorial

You can have a playable ship in about fifteen minutes. All commands need operator level 2.

### 1. Install

1. Drop `amongcraft-<version>.jar` into the `mods/` folder of your NeoForge 1.21.1 server **and** of every player.

2. Start the server, then run `op YourName` in the console.

3. In game, type `/ac help` to make sure the mod is loaded.

Playing solo or on LAN? Create the world with cheats enabled and open it to LAN with cheats.

### 2. Build the ship

Build a looped layout of corridors and themed rooms (reactor, electrical, O2, medbay, storage, navigation…). A 60×60 block ship is plenty for 6 to 10 players. Keep a central meeting room at least 14×14 for the meeting circle, and a separate lobby room. Recommended game rules:

### 3. Set the key points

Stand at the spot and type:

Then place the **Emergency Button** block from the AmongCraft creative tab in the meeting room. It registers itself.

### 4. Place task consoles

Open the **AmongCraft** creative tab and place the console blocks around the ship: *Console: Wiring*, *Console: Access code*, *Console: Medical scan*… Each block registers itself with the task shown on its texture. Place **10 to 15 consoles**, spread across all rooms and mixing the types.

Prefer your own blocks? Look at any block and type `/ac task add <type>` (`wires`, `simon`, `code`, `download`, `calibrate`, `sort`, `asteroids`, `swipe`, `fuel`, `manifolds`, `switches`, `scan`, `path`). `/ac task list`, `remove` and `clear` manage them.

### 5. Place crisis consoles

From the same creative tab:

– **Reactor console** ×2, a few blocks apart in the reactor room (two players must hold them together).

– **Oxygen console** ×2, in two different rooms (the same code must be typed on both).

– **Electrical panel** ×1 in the electrical room.

Or use `/ac crisis add reactor|lights|oxygen` while looking at a block. Without these consoles the impostor cannot trigger the matching crisis.

### 6. Tune the game

`/ac config` lists every setting with its description. Good starting points:

### 7. Test and play

1. `/ac status` — check Lobby, Spawn, Meeting, Button and the number of consoles.

2. `/ac config min_players 2`, then `/ac start easy` with a friend: try a task, the button, a kill, a crisis and its repair, then `/ac stop`.

3. Set `min_players` back and launch the real game with `/ac start normal` (or `hard`). Spectators type `/ac leave`.

Every position, console and setting is stored inside the world. Zip the world folder to share your ship with other servers.

### Client options

Each player can tune `config/amongcraft-client.toml`: `quality` (0–3), `maxDistance`, `holograms`, `overlays` and `cameraShake`. Lower `quality` on older computers.
