AllayMail

A simple mod that makes allays a lot more useful.

When given a written book, a Book&Quill or a bundle with a player’s nickname in the name, Allays will teleport to them and stay near until the mail is taken.

Only works if the player is online. If they’re not, the allay will just stick around doing nothing. They will teleport as soon as the player joins, unless in unloaded chunks.

Writable books and bundles are intended to be renamed in anvils or otherwise, while written books are supposed to be signed with the name.

The player gets a sound notification and a text notification above their hotbar every time the allay teleports to them.

Any player can take the package, and it does drop if the allay dies.

This does not work across dimensions.

It is teleportation, so it doesn’t load chunks between the starting point and the destination.

Not required on the client side.
