A shared ability framework for Mine Mine no Mi addons.

⚠️ Landed here from a “missing dependency” screen?

That’s the normal reason. AkumaLib is a library, not a content mod — on its own it adds no fruits, no abilities, no items and no recipes. It corrects faults of Mine Mine no Mi and gives every player a size (see below).

Drop it in your mods folder next to Mine Mine no Mi and the addon that asked for it, and you’re done.

📦 Requirements

Client and server. If you play on a server, both sides need the same version. 6.0.0 has a new network protocol (16): a 6.0.0 game cannot join a 5.2.0 or older server, nor the other way round – update the server and every player together. 6.1.0, 6.2.0 and 6.3.0 use the same protocol as 6.0.0. Every published addon accepts 6.0.0 as it is. Avoid 2.5.0 and 2.6.0: they crash a normal game at start-up.

📏 Bodies of every size (since 6.0.0)

• Your size — the character creator has a size slider, 0.75 to 1.25 times a man, a man in the middle. A race brought by an addon can be bigger by nature (the giants of Race Race no Mi).
• Everything follows the body — reach, blows, techniques (areas, beams, projectiles, explosions, dashes, grabs, walls, summons), walk, jump, fall, health, knockback, camera, sounds. The tooltips give a technique’s real cooldown, range and damage at your size. A man at normal size plays exactly as before.
• Smaller than a man — less health, but a man’s damage, a man’s safe falls, a seat on your mount, and other players see you as far away as anyone (since 6.3.0).
• Forms that make you bigger add to your own size, and grow less and less past four times a man.
• A new character creator — a book with every choice in a grid, a 3D preview of the race, its bonuses and its techniques with their tooltips (characterCreator.gridBook = false gives back the old screen).
• Server switches in akumalib-server.toml, section sizeSystem: the slider, the races’ sizes, size in PvP, and every figure of the system.

🧑‍✈️ NPCs and mobs with Devil Fruits (since 5.0.0)

• Troops with fruits — grunts, brutes and snipers can get a Devil Fruit and use it (off by default). Wild mobs may have eaten one too (mobFruitChance, 0.01 %, since 6.0.0).
• No wrecked terrain — NPCs’ abilities break no block and light no fire (npcAbilityGriefing). Logia are rare bosses, flying Zoans fly, and One Fruit per World is respected.
• /akumalib npcfruit <targets> <fruit> gives any fruit to an NPC, an addon’s included.

⚓ Marines, pirates and civilians (since 4.8.0)

• A Marine recruiter at the front desk of the Marine bases; a pirate with a small bounty can buy an amnesty or serve a short sentence.
• Civilians have their faction page; one who strikes Marines or steals from their chests turns pirate.
• Captains and notorious NPCs use Rokushiki less often (npcRokushiki).

⚡ Powers that meet (since 4.5.0)

Lightning hurts a soaked or metal body more, ice holds a soaked target longer, fire dries it, rust bites steel, wind blows clouds away, silence stops every power that has to be heard, and a body held by one power cannot be taken by another — across Mine Mine no Mi and every addon.

🩹 What it corrects in Mine Mine no Mi (since 4.0.0)

Some eighty corrections, each with a switch in the section baseModFixes of akumalib-server.toml and akumalib-client.toml: crashes and freezes, lost progress, items destroyed for nothing, combat faults, server-side checks, protected areas, performance, large pirate ships and Marine battleships that never generated, forms that hid your cape and your addons’ looks. The full list is in each version’s changelog.

• Awaken Awaken no Mi — awakened Devil Fruit abilities. AkumaLib was extracted from it.
• InoFruits — brand-new Devil Fruits, none of them in the base mod.
• Missing Missing no Mi — the canon fruits Mine Mine no Mi does not have.
• Cruise Cruise no Mi — the professions and the island life of One Piece: Unlimited Cruise 2.
• Mine Mine no Mi: Sky Island — Skypiea as a dimension of its own.
• Mine Mine no Mi: Awaken Path — the way to awaken a fruit.

🛠️ For addon developers

AkumaLib is the layer above Mine Mine no Mi’s Ability that every addon would otherwise write again: ability base classes (zones, spreading blocks, waves, passives, grabs, dashes, walls, gusts, flights, giants of matter), the size system (an ability’s reach, damage and spawns follow its user’s size through the base mod’s own components), races (counting as a base race, a base size and slider, wings, horns, tails, skin and hair tints, longer necks, arms and legs), professions (XP, workstations, titles, talents, JEI/EMI), world events, worldgen and dimensions, Devil Fruit boxes from data files, and the morph, animation and networking scaffolding. Each base class carries the fixes for problems that are easy to hit and hard to trace (zones that put the world back, passives that never stick, charges cut from outside that clean up).

🔒 API stability

A breaking change is a major version. A consumer’s versionRange states the lowest version it needs and leaves the top open, [x,), so a player can run any newer AkumaLib.

6.0.0 is a major version: the size system. One method changed what it returns: NpcStyles.giveFruit gives the abilities given (List<AbilityCore<?>>) instead of the goals; the compiled call is the same, so an addon built against 5.x keeps running. Nothing else was removed or changed. The network protocol is 16. An addon that uses the new pieces (AkumaSize, FormSizes, AkumaRaces, AkumaCreator, ArmSkins, RecolouredSkins.tinted, TornGroundEntity) declares versionRange = "[6.0.0,)".

5.0.0 changed two inner members of the professions (no published addon used them); 3.0.0 removed what 2.x had marked for removal. Every other version only added. Each version’s changelog lists what it adds.
