How to install an old version of minecraft (Quick Start Guide)
Setting up your version takes less than a minute in the official launcher:

• Open your Minecraft Launcher and click the Installations tab.
• Click New Installation. Give it a name and select release 1.12.2 from the dropdown menu.
• Recommended: Change the Game Directory to a separate folder so it stays isolated.
• Click Create, select your new profile, and launch the game once. Drop the map folder directly into your saves directory.

This project is a love letter to the simple, limited nature of the Minecraft 1.12 command block system. Because the old version lacks modern scripting tools every single feature had to be figured out from scratch using command block and redstone logic (also lots of help from the minecraft wiki as well).
