Sensible Stones is a _vanilla-friendly utility_ datapack that cleans up stone crafting recipes to make building and survival exploration much more enjoyable. By introducing logical, overworld-friendly recipes for Diorite, Andesite, and Granite, this pack removes the frustration of gathering tedious materials and lets you focus on creating.
Key Features
– Balanced Stone Recipes: No longer do you need quartz to make your stone blocks. Use material thats already available to you!
– Mud-to-Clay Smelting: Bake Mud Blocks in a furnace or blast furnace to dry them out into Clay Blocks. Faster than waiting for them to dry with dripstone!
– Clay-to-Terracotta Blasting: Bake your Clay Blocks inside a Blast Furnace to quickly aquire Terracotta.
– Seamless Crafting Loops: Use your newly crafted clay blocks to craft Andesite, or bake that clay into Terracotta to fuel your Granite production.
Whether you are building a massive fortress or just want a more logical resource loop, _Sensible Stones_ makes the world feel exactly how it should have been all along.

Blast Furnace Performance Upgrades
• Optimized thermal processing efficiency across all custom blasting conversions.
• Reduced the Blast Furnace operation duration to 50 ticks per block, cutting the standard processing significantly in half to support high-throughput, automated stone farm production loops.
Universal Recipe and Tag Overhauls
• Overrode internal item tags to implement universal tool and utility crafting across the entire Overworld stone family.
• Allowed Andesite, Granite, Diorite, Cobbled Deepslate, Tuff, Stone, and Blackstone to act as functional drop-in replacements for all standard Cobblestone recipes.
• Validated full material interchangeability for the entire stone tool suite, including swords, pickaxes, axes, shovels, hoes, and spears.
• Updated functional utility blocks to accept the expanded stone family, fully supporting vanilla crafting for the Hopper, Furnace, and Stonecutter, Dispenser, and Brewing Stand.
Redstone Component Integration
• Updated the Piston recipe to accept all verified stone variants.
• Updated the Dropper recipe to accept all verified stone variants.
• Updated the Dispenser recipe to be crafted with a dropper + a bow.
• Updated the Brewing Stand recipe to accept all verified stone variants.
• Updated the Observer recipe to accept all verified stone variants.
