Re shards

This datapack is aming to give some much needed uses for amethyst and echo shards and more.

I made it becouse I was bored of enchanting system, amethyst shards cloging my chests and hatred for mending being locked behind villager prisons

Amethyst changes

From now on you can use amethyst clusters with netherite smithing templates to make your non netherite tools like shears be repairable with amethyst shards

As you can see thouth anvil reapir cost remains a problem that i’ll try to work on next update

Echo shards changes

As hard as echo shards are to get they don’t give much value to the player, now that changes. You can put an echo shard with most items from ingridient list into the crafting grid to duplicate them, a reverse of scult catalist changing “normal” blocks into sculk

this might seem overpowered by the fact that you can duplicate diamonds, eyes of ender or ender pearls but to get echo shards you need to find an ancient city and avoid awaking the warden and even so not every chest has echo shards (about 30% for 1-3 shards) so it balances out

Enchanting changes

If you played matcha flavored you will be familiar with this system, books can now be crafted into enchanted books using specyfic ingridients. You will place a book in the center with amethyst blocks on top and the bottom, remaining slots are for enchant specyfic ingridients. There are 24 books crafted this way and some of them have multiple enchants that you can discover thru crafting an enchanted book of knowlage to unlock them as they are underutilized in the game.

I also made it so you can use candles, chiseled book shelfs, budding and normal amethyst blocks to power enchanting tables as well as making carpets and candles not block enchaning power allowing for way more customization of your enchanting aeria making it diffrent in every playthru

Ethernal netherite tools

now you can combine netherite smithing template, any breakable netherite tool and a totem of undying to craft an ethernal netherite tool making tool durability obselite in the end game making villager prisons less needed
