Plated Elytras

This data pack allows players to combine their Elytra with a chestplate of their choice. One half of the chestplate’s armor value is added to the Elytra. The chestplate’s enchantments are not transferred over (balance choice).

For versions < 1.20.5, you can craft your Plated Elytra by throwing a slime ball, elytra and a chestplate of your choice on top of an anvil.

For versions 1.20.5+, you can craft the Plated Elytras by putting a slime ball, your chestplate of choice and an elytra inside a crafting grid. The old anvil method has been removed. Additionally, the Netherite variant is now fire resistent.
