Death Swap

DESCRIPTION

This my version of the deathswap minigame created by SethBling and popularized by dream! In this minigame, players swap positions with each other every 5 minutes (configurable), and must use this mechannic to kill the others by environmental damage, by jumping into lava right before a swap for example. You only get to know when a swap is about to happen 5 seconds prior, so you must react quickly! (again, this is configurable)

INSTALLATION / SETUP GUIDE

1. Generate a new world, or use an existing one.
2. Place the downloaded ZIP file in your world’s datapacks folder:

world/datapacks
Alternatively, place the datapack in the appropriate datapacks directory on your server.

1. Run /reload to load the datapack.
2. (Optional) Run /function deathswap:config to customize the settings.
3. Run /function deathswap:start to begin playing!

The settings with their default values are given below:

| Allow Nether | false | Whether the Nether dimension is enabled. |
| Allow PvP | false | Whether players can damage each other. |
| Visible Timer | true | Whether the time remaining until the next swap is displayed in the action bar. |
| Coal Ore Drops OP Loot | false | Whether coal ore drops OP loot. |
| Swap Time | 300 | Time between swaps, in seconds (5 minutes by default). |

OTHER THINGS TO NOTE

• This datapack supports any number of players starting from v2.0 and upto 8 in old versions
• Starting from v2.0, you can adjust the time between swaps directly through the configuration menu, however this is not an option in older versions
• You can end a game at any time with /function deathswap:stop and start a new one with /function deathswap:start.
