The world has become a hostile place. The air itself is toxic, and survival is no longer guaranteed.

Dead Air is a vanilla Minecraft datapack that introduces a new survival challenge: toxic air. Explore the world, manage your oxygen supply and build safe environments to survive.

☣️ Features

Toxic Atmosphere
The air is contaminated. Staying exposed without proper protection will gradually damage you. A custom post-processing effect makes the toxic atmosphere visible.

Gas Masks
Protect yourself with a gas mask. However, oxygen is limited, so keep an eye on your remaining supply.

Air Filter
Build sealed rooms and install an Air Filter to create safe breathing zones. The system checks whether your room is airtight and detects leaks.

Oxygenator
An oxygen refilling station that allows you to recharge your gas masks using its inventory.

⚙️ Vanilla Experience

Dead Air is designed to work without mods. It combines custom datapack mechanics, custom resources, models, textures and post-processing effects to create a new survival experience.

Installation Note

Dead Air includes an embedded resource pack. To ensure everything works correctly, you must place the datapack folder in both the datapacks and resourcepacks directories of your Minecraft world.

Development Status

Dead Air is currently a work in progress. More features and improvements are planned.
